Distribution is registration, stock, and sell-through, in that order

Overseas brands often ask for "distribution" when they mean three different jobs: get the product approved to sell, get it into the country, and get it in front of buyers. We separate those jobs on purpose.
1. Classify the product
Food-style supplements, herbal products, and some healthcare products fall under different UAE pathways. Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) marketing approval covers many healthcare products that include food supplements under Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2024. Dubai Municipality Montaji registration applies to listed consumer-product groups, including health supplements sold in Dubai channels and e-commerce. Some SKUs need one path, some need careful classification first. We do not guess. We map the SKU before you print Arabic labels for the wrong portal.
2. Build the dossier and labels
Typical EDE healthcare-product files ask for composition, artwork, free-sale or WHO-style certificates, local-agent authorisation, manufacturer registration, and safety declarations. Dubai Municipality Montaji health-supplement filings ask for artwork, a conformity or ingredient report, and a test report from a DM-approved lab (Halal where required). 3. Import and hold stock
A registered product still needs a compliant import path and a place to sit. Importer-of-record duties, customs, and storage are part of the distribution conversation. See Importer of record in the UAE.
4. Sell through the right channel
Wholesale to pharmacies and retailers, or a brand-led Amazon.ae or Noon launch once stock is legal, or both. Marketplace accounts do not replace product registration. See Amazon.ae and Noon.
5. Keep the file alive
Approvals expire. EDE healthcare-product marketing approval is described on the EDE service page as valid for five years from committee approval. Labels change. New variants need their own filings. Distribution includes watching renewals, not only the first PO.
