Importer of record is the local party customs and regulators can hold when a consignment arrives. For supplements, that role sits next to product registration, not instead of it.

- Making sure the registered product identity matches the goods
- Holding documents the municipality or EDE file expects on arrival
- Coordinating lab holds or inspections when they happen
- Passing stock into wholesale or marketplace fulfilment
What it is not
It is not a free pass to sell unregistered goods. It is not Amazon's seller account. It is not a freight forwarder's house bill on its own.
